Sarah Youde (aka monroegirl)
Plymouth, UK.

I love to scrap and I love to stitch. I also love reading, eating and the odd glass of red wine! I only wish I had more time to do all the things I love. Most of my time is taken up looking after a couple of other things I love and they are my two gorgeous children Ben and Charlotte. They ARE gorgeous, I am not biased, I have been blessed with beautiful children which is a good thing because I have such wonderful subjects for my scrapbooking addiction.

I am married to Mark and we will celebrate our fifteenth wedding anniversary in July - we are just as happy now as when we first met. He would rather I didn't spend any money on scrapbooking or cross stitch stash but if I didn't do that I would be perfect and surely that would be really boring! Anyway, this blog is a sort of diary / gallery and I enjoy updating my blog for myself and my family but any visitors are welcome :o)

School Reunion

I had a great time at the weekend :) I went to stay with my Mum in Plymouth on Friday night and spent some time at my sister's house in the evening, it was great to see everyone! I even got to see my Nephew (who's 18) who I haven't seen for ages.

On Saturday we had a really girly day in town (Mum, sister Carol and me). It was hilarious. I was showing Mum and Carol the Benefit make-up counter and I ended up having most of the make-up put on my face by the sales woman. I was really pleased with the results and spent the rest of the afternoon being really vain and looking in the mirror everywhere we went!

When we got home I had to get ready for my 20 year school reunion. A friend I hadn't seen since school came to my house with a bottle of champagne and we had a few glasses of that before braving the reunion. It was GREAT! I had a fantastic time catching up with old school friends and even a couple of teachers. I was particulary happy talking to Mrs Blackmore and Mrs Farmer who on the last day of school convinced me to go to sixth form for which I am eternally grateful :) The organisers had managed to get hold of loads of old school photo's and they were all enlarged and stuck around the walls. By the end of the night and after a few drinks we were all ripping them down to take home. There was one I loved but as it is a photocopy it is really blurry. If anyone owns this picture can I have a good scanned copy of it? I love it. I also pinched a picture of the front of our school as it has now been knocked down.

Sunday was my birthday and my hubby came up to Plymouth with the children. Mum looked after Ben and Charlotte whilst we went for a meal and to watch the Da Vinci Code. All in all I had a great time although I did fall asleep during the film! That was more to do with a heavy night on Saturday than the film being rubbish although I think the film could have been a lot better having read the book.

I really want to do some scrapping soon but I think I want to watch Memoirs of a Geisha tonight if my husband remembers to buy it on the way home. I have read the book twice and it is brilliant I hope the film is just as good.
